Welcome to Folkestone Festival website

2012 will be our 6th year and we have expanded our weekend festival to now run for the whole of June!

stp82976Originally started by Folkestone Town Centre Management, it is now run by a willing band of volunteers whose sole aim is to give something to  the local community. The festival is mainly free and takes place in many different areas of Folkestone, with some evening events in various venues.

Included in our exciting programme for 2012 will be a revival of the airshow in Folkestone for the Queen's Diamond Jubillee, Multi-cultural weekend, vintage bus rally, local food markets, chilli festival, music events, an open air reggae performance and as a finale a classical proms concert on the Leas promenade. Workshops for children, a variety of entertainment on most evenings and wonderful restaurants with delicious food to enjoy.

From the 1st to the 30th June there will be something for everybody to enjoy, and with so much going on each day  you may want to stay for a night or 2 so you can see more. Visit www.Discoverfolkestone.co.uk for hotel bookings, events and other festivals in Folkestone
