Welcome to music at the Folkestone Bandstand. Every Saturday and Sunday from June – 1st October.

On Saturdays from 2:30-5pm we are working again with Chris Smith of the Chambers Cafe Bar to present a variety of live music, entertainment, workshops and dancing from local groups as part of the STAND BY YOUR BANDS Project.

On Sundays from 2.30-4.30pm (unless otherwise stated, enjoy traditional bandstand entertainment including brass, silver, wind and concert bands. Relax in one of the deck chairs while enjoying the music this Summer season.

Saturday 9th September Chambers Event – Stand By Your Bands

Sunday 10th September INVICTA JAZZ ORCHESTRA. The Orchestra is probably the biggest band you will ever see. Based in Kent they have toured France and the Netherlands raising money for their chosen charity. Their style and their music are infectious, and audiences have often been seen dancing in the streets, with their variety of swing, jazz, funk and rock. Their repertoire is heavily varied, ranging from Jazz Standards and the Big Band Era of the 20s to modern arrangements, such as Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and includes both vocal and instrumental numbers, so there is something for everyone. This popular band will give a rousing finale to Folkestone Festivals season. We hope you have enioyed the performances this summer. See you again in 2024!

Saturday 23rd September HULLABALOO – Chambers Stand By Your Bands event.

2.30pm – 5pm Smooth swing, soul & jazz.

Sunday 24th September Chambers Event – Stand By Your Bands

Saturday 30th September BEANS ON TOAST – Chambers Stand By Your Bands event.

2.30pm – 5pm The hugely famous & popular festival band plays a public date on the Bandstand for the very first time.

Sunday 1st October THE OLD TYME SAILORS – Chambers Stand By Your Bands

2.30pm – 5pm The Band of 20 plus Merry sea shanty players on Folkestone bandstand for the very first time. A feast for the eyes and ears! A super interactive day of fun.
