Join us for a fun-filled day Parade with youth groups from the District in honour of St. George, and life-sized puppets of St. George and the Dragon. The day begins with a Service for The District Scout, Cubs, Beavers to celebrate their work in the Leas Cliff Hall.
The late afternoon and evening is our second Strictly Folkestone Dancing event. This is a paid event with dinner, dancing and music to suit all tastes.

12.00PM – Parade to Folkestone Town Centre and back to the Leas Cliff Hall
1.30PM – Youth group activities in and around the Leas Cliff Hall
3.30PM – Doors open for Strictly Come Dancing Competition and Evening Spectacular
EVENING SPECTACULAR
Kicking off at 3.30PM with the Strictly Come Dancing Competition with the Peninsula Big Band, then enjoy the King of Cockney himself Gordon Bennett with the immaculate comedian and impressionist Chris Wheeler while having a feast of fine food provided by our hosts the Leas Cliff Hall, finishing with live music from the Apache Showband.
There are also prizes to be won, get involved in our auction and raffle also in aid of the Folkestone Town Mayor’s Charities.

STRICTLY COME DANCING COMPETITION

Check out Folkestone’s finest amateurs strutt their stuff on the dance floor competing to win our very own Strictly Come Dancing competition. Our couples have well and truly put their best foot forward in recent months, training vigorously with Joyce of JB Dance Studios, whilst putting their pride and well, they’re health on the line in an effort to raise some very important funds for the Folkestone Town Mayor’s Charities in what promises to be a fun-filled evening of dance, laughter and undeniable entertainment in one form or another.
